Konferencja CAA International to chyba najważniejsze wydarzenie w archeologii cyfrowej. Co roku zrzesza setki archeologów z Europy i pozostałych kontynentów. Tegoroczna konferencja, Computer Application and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology. Digital Horizons: Embracing heritage in an evolving world. Athens 5 – 9 May 2025, była jedną z największych konferencji CAA. Przybyło ponad 750 członków, a liczba odbywających się sesji przekroczyła 50. Na konferencji nie zabrakło też badaczy powiązanych z CAA Poland. Poprowadzono sześć sesji, oraz wygłoszono osiemnaście referatów, a także zaprezentowano jeden poster. Łącznie w konferencji wzięło szesnaście naszych członków.
Zorganizowane sesje dotyczyły archeologii nieinwazyjnej, mobilnego GIS, metod prospekcji z użyciem sztucznej inteligencji, dydaktyce metod GIS, metod badań sieci nawadniania oraz dziedzictwu zagrożonemu wojną.
Prezentacje członków CAA PL obejmowały kluczowe tematy w archeologii cyfrowej:
- archeologia nieinwazyjna,
- modelowanie 3D,
- bazy danych,
- analizy przestrzenne,
- LiDAR,
- analizy zdjęć satelitarnych,
- bezzałogowe statki latające (drony),
- głębokie uczenie
- dziedzictwo zagrożone wojną
