Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology – Poland (CAA PL) is the Polish chapter of the CAA International, which brings together archaeologists, mathematicians and computer scientists. The aim of the CAA is to create a communication platform for dialogue between these disciplines, which also serves as a venue for the presentation of fieldwork results and a forum for discussion. During the annual international conference, researchers have the opportunity to present the results of their work, and the conference covers a range of topics such as 3D reconstruction, data visualization in archaeology, geophysical methods and GIS (caaconference.org).
The CAA PL aims to integrate Polish archaeologists and specialists from other disciplines using quantitative methods and computer applications in their work. The organization of national conferences, seminars and workshops stimulates and supports the discussion on the methodology of archaeology among Polish researchers, enabling them to present the results of their research in their own language and environment.
